Council President Parker and Councilor Hilliard partnering for food giveaway and Census participation event

On Thursday, September 10, Council President William Parker and Councilor John Hilliard will be joining the leadership at Olivet Monumental Baptist Church and Census 2020 representatives for a food giveaway and Census participation event.

The event will be happening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Olivet Monumental Baptist Church. Fresh produce will be available, along with Census Bureau representatives to help answer questions or with completing the questionnaire.

The food giveaway is part of an ongoing effort from Council President Parker and Councilor Hilliard to help residents during this public health crisis.

“The Birmingham City Council is committed to providing our residents with education about the Census and with access to free produce during this difficult time,” Council President Parker said. “We need every single person in Birmingham to participate by September 30 so we can keep the Magic City moving forward.”

When: Thursday, September 10 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
