Council President Parker invites medical expert to discuss COVID-19 safety protocols at Tuesday’s Meeting

--

As cases of COVID-19 continue to spike across the United States, Alabama recorded over 2,000 new cases in a single day last week.

Council President William Parker has invited Dr. Celeste Reese-Willis, who has been overseeing COVID-19 testing at Legion Field, to speak at tomorrow’s meeting about how people can keep themselves and others safe.

“We’ve seen a troubling trend over the last several weeks, with daily case numbers continuing to increase across our state,” Council President William Parker said. “We’re going to continue working with our medical professionals to increase testing throughout all of Birmingham’s 99 neighborhoods. I’m asking everyone to please continue adhering to the CDC’s guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

To schedule an appointment at Legion Field, please call (205) 543–2684 or go to drcelestec19.com to register online.

As always, our meeting will be live streamed on the Birmingham City Council’s Facebook page beginning at 9:30 a.m. https://www.facebook.com/citycouncilbham
