President Parker holding press conference with healthcare partners to discuss Legion Field testing site and additional locations

Tomorrow, Birmingham City Council President William Parker along with representatives with the Jefferson County Department of Health (JCDH), COVID-19 testing labs, and local clergy members will be holding a press conference to discuss additional testing sites being opened.

The press conference will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Legion Field on Wednesday October 21.

The new pediatric test site will be located at JCDH annex parking lot. Officials will also be providing updates on the Legion Field testing site that has been operational since May.

“Since the beginning of this public health crisis, we have worked in lockstep with our healthcare providers, community stakeholders and other partners to provide access to COVID-19 testing to all of our citizens,” President Parker said. “We’re excited to announce this new site and partnerships with additional healthcare providers.”

Representatives with Compass Labs, GoldenPoint Labs and the JCDH will be in attendance to answer questions.
