Council President Pro Tem Crystal Smitherman will be hosting a series of Town Hall events over the next week for District 6 residents.

The first District 6 Town Hall will be on Thursday, January 26th at Westminster Presbyterian Church from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. This Town Hall will be focused on the following neighborhoods: North Titusville, South Titusville, Woodland Park and Five Points South.

The Second District 6 Town Hall will be on Monday, January 30th at New Hope Baptist Church from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. This Town Hall will be for these neighborhoods: West End Manor, Arlington West End, Oakwood Place and Mason City.

“These Town Hall events are a vital component for continuing to help our communities move in the right direction,” Pro Tem Smitherman said. “We want to hear from our residents; what’s working, what can be improved and how can we work in tandem to address the issues we face? In addition to that, it’s a moment for us as neighbors to get together and make connections and learn from one another.”

The topics for discussion will include updates on street paving throughout the district, sidewalks, traffic calming, code enforcement and more. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided for attendees. Councilor Smitherman will have media availability at both of the Town Hall meetings.
