Statement from Councilor Hunter Williams regarding decision to ban Russia from 2022 World Games

Councilor Hunter Williams, who chairs the Birmingham City Council’s Economic Development and Tourism Committee, has released the following statement in support of the decision to bar Russian and Belarusian athletes from competing the the 2022 World Games. The move comes in response to the unprovoked acts of war currently taking place in Ukraine.
