Wednesday’s Special Called Committee of the Whole Meeting has been cancelled

Tonight’s scheduled Birmingham City Council Committee of the Whole meeting at Botanical Gardens has been cancelled.

Council President William Parker said he is going to continue to work with school officials to find another date and time to reschedule the meeting in the coming weeks.

Last night members of the Council heard presentations from the Park and Recreation and Library boards regarding the FY 2021 Budget.

There will be another special called Committee of the Whole meeting on Thursday, September 10 at 4 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

During that meeting, members of the Council will hear presentations from the City’s Public Works Department. That meeting will be live streamed on the Birmingham City Council Facebook page.
