The Council will be considering 35 items, 33 of which have been placed on the consent agenda. This is reserved for routine and non controversial items and helps keep the meetings moving at a reasonable pace.

This week, the Council will be considering a bid for the 2024 Citywide Street Resurfacing Project, improvements to Fire Stations # 2, 11, 14, 20 and more.

Here’s a quick look at those items:

ITEM 1:

This resolution could pave the way for a possible expansion at the Birmingham Coca-Cola Bottling Company with the vacation of 6,757 square feet of the right of way, located parallel to and between 40th Street North and 42nd Street North and perpendicular to and between 10th Avenue North and 11th Court North.

The headquarters is located near the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. Following a series of expansions in 2017, the Birmingham Coca-Cola Bottling Company is now the third largest bottling company for the brand in North America.
